Description | | Presentations turn into webcasts; meetings and phone conferences are replaced by webconferences; product trainings and seminars change into webinars; and the phone is replaced with an Instant Messenger. Today's busy lifestyle and forever changing work environments impress upon the language coach the need to 'walk the extra mile'. What used to be the goal in the 80s, language competence, changed to a demand for training in communication skills in the 90s, including presentations, meetings, virtual team building, telephone conversations, emails and so on. At the dawn of this century, another skill set was required: intercultural competence. Today, we believe that there is yet another skill set that is vital: media competence. | | | Who Should Participate | | - Language trainers, language coaches
